What to Bring

This program takes place in central Florida, and it is worth enumerating a few things to bring with you for your stay. The summers are hot and humid with sunny days and brief rains most afternoons. The winters are typically beautiful with temperatures between 40-75 degrees during the days. Things that one needs in Florida are: sunscreen (25-40 spf), a hat, an umbrella in summer, and a very informal wardrobe for the most part. During the days, shorts and polo shirts are sufficient, long pants and dresses can be worn evenings or on special occasions. Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are a must.

Bring all of your medications. Bring your dextrometer (glucometer), any sleep apnea devices (C-pap), contact lenses, and anything else that is not easily purchased in a local store. Make a list before you pack to prevent leaving anything important behind.
