Program Duration

It is recommended that new patients plan to participate in the 4 week program. This should result in a 15-20 lb weight loss for women, and 20-30 lb weight loss for men. The actual weight loss varies depending upon your starting weight, ability to exercise, compliance with directives of the diet, and your motivation.

In certain cases, where the patient cannot stay for the 4 week program, a 2-3 week program can be accommodated (primarily for  those needing to lose less than 40 lbs). In isolated cases, an initial shorter session can be set up and then followed by another session soon thereafter. The purpose of the program is to be successful at attaining your goals, and, in most cases, they cannot be achieved in very brief intervals. Remember, nobody became obese overnight, and one cannot reverse the process in a brief interval. The same can be said for all the resulting secondary medical problems.

Some patients who need more time may remain on the program for as long as necessary.

After the initial session, patients are encouraged to stay in touch with us via email and keep us informed of their continued success. Many may require refresher sessions. They may be for 2 weeks or longer, but in certain cases, a 1 week session may be all that is needed. Recommendations will be made at the end of your initial session.
