



It is recommended that new patients plan to participate in the 4 week program. This should result in a 15-20 lb weight loss for women, and 20-30 lb weight loss for men. The actual weight loss varies depending upon your starting weight, ability to exercise, compliance with directives of the diet, and your motivation.
Most patients will not achieve their target weight in only 4 weeks; therefore they are encouraged to continue the Rice Diet program for as long as it takes to attain their ideal body weight or until their medical conditions are resolved.
